Members of the Locked-up Investment Holders’ Forum will today, Wednesday, June 5, proceed with their picketing at the Finance Ministry after the ministry failed to engage them as promised.

The group put on hold an earlier protest after the Deputy Finance Minister, Dr. Stephen Amoah, assured to address their concerns.

The members of the group have been putting pressure on the Finance Ministry to guarantee that the Bank of Ghana will be able to release funds held in defunct financial companies.

According to the Convenor of the Locked-up Investment Holders’ Forum, Dr. Anane Antwi, the group has been forced to resume picketing because of lack of engagement.
