The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), John Dramani Mahama, says a change in governance will be the solution to Ghana’s deepening economic crisis.

Mr Mahama a post on social media post Friday, June 21, slammed the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration for alleged corruption, wasting national resources and nepotism.

He said Ghanaians are becoming more and more despondent as a result of the current situation, which has affected the country’s morale.

Announcing his desire to run for president and vowing to bring hope and prosperity back to the nation, Mahama underlined the necessity of a shift in leadership and direction.

“Unspeakable corruption, nepotism, brazen theft, waste of national resources, impunity, and general criminality have become the hallmarks of Ghana’s current government.

“With the national spirit sinking to an all-time low and hopelessness engulfing our country, a change in governance and direction is imperative. That is why I have decided to run for office as President.”
