Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) General Secretary, George Afful, has revealed that the party currently lacks a national organizer.

He emphasized that anyone claiming to hold this position is an imposter and should be disregarded.

This announcement follows tensions among party executives after the appointment of a new candidate, Roman Father, replacing the party’s founder, Akua Donkor, who passed away.

In an interview with Osuani Afrifa on Kasapa news , Mr. Afful clarified that the absence of a national organizer predates the founder’s death, acknowledging that Eno Mary, Akua Donkor’s daughter, is aware of this issue.

Afful urged the police to investigate individuals spreading false information under the guise of the party’s national organizer, which threatens party unity.

Meanwhile, he pointed out that even if a national organizer were present, the electoral body only recognizes and communicates with the general secretary regarding party matters.

He appealed to Ghanaians to disregard false claims denying the party’s acceptance of ‘Roman Fada’ as its new flagbearer and alleged withdrawal from the presidential race.
