Electoral Commission (EC) Chairperson Jean Mensa has called on media professionals covering today’s election to utilize the EC’s communication channels for timely updates and clarifications.
In a briefing with the media recently,the chairperson emphasized the critical role of accurate reporting in maintaining a transparent and peaceful election process.
The EC has provided a dedicated toll-free number (0800324324) for journalists to verify information and report any issues. Madam Mensa assured the media of the EC’s full cooperation and commitment to providing real-time support.
“We urge all media persons to reach out to us using the toll number provided. We are available to address any concerns or provide clarification promptly. This collaboration will ensure accurate information is shared across all parts of your work,” she stated.
The EC chair highlighted the vital role of the media in building and maintaining public confidence in the integrity of the electoral process.
