Political analyst, Dr. Paul Herzuah has firmly supported the nomination of former minority leader Haruna Iddrisu as the minister for Education designate.
Following president John Dramani Mahama nominating Haruna Iddrisu which raised concerns in the public concerning if he is fit to be the minister for Education.
Speaking to kasapa fm, Mr Paul Herzuah stated that the president knows what he is doing with the new appointment of ministers.
” Sometimes head of states and presidents know information that the common citizens don’t know, so I think the president knows what he is doing”.
He continued that before someone is assign a duty , they consider thier intelligence and that intelligent and cognitive ability is important than past political positions. Stating that Haruna Iddrisu past political endeavors doesn’t count on the matter of his new appointment but his intelligence and smartness.
” Is someone is intelligent it doesn’t matter thier background, wherever they are assigned they can work. We know Haruna Iddrisu as a critical thinker and smart” he Said.
He added with the state of the country’s education sector there need to be someone smarter to head it.
” There is pressure in our education sector and it very hot there so if you appoint just anyone they can’t work well so I think it a strategic move by the president and Haruna Iddrisu can do the work”.
