
Snatchers escaped death after the vehicle was involved in an accident and entered a ditch at Ajumako in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region.
Information gathered by Ghone NewsYaw Boagyan revealed that the snatchers, numbering about five went to a community within the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District, snatching people’s mobile phones, bags, and money.
The recent incidents happened at Ajumako, opposite the government hospital, where these snatchers forcefully snatched a newly posted nurse’s mobile phone, bag, and money from her when returning from work in the evening.
The snatchers, after running away from the operation, had an accident on Ajumako to Nkwantanum road when their private car with registration number CR-1784-12 hit electricity pole and enter a pitch.
The Snatchers after the accident vanished from the car and they were no where to be found as at the time of filling this report.
Speaking to Ghone News Yaw Boagyan,the victim nurse narrated that,she was returning from work when these people approached her telling her of having spiritual encountering hence they cab her to overcome it.
The astonished newly posted nurse decided to avail herself for them to solve the problem upon talking to them they Snatched her phone,bag with an undisclosed money and went away.
The nurse called for help and they chased them a motorcycle only for them see their vehicle involved in an accident.
Meanwhile,some of the eyewitness in an interview also revealed that,they saw they vehicle and they all decided to chased them.
The Snatchers firstly,identified themselves as pasters who were going for crusade not knowing they were criminals.
Upon searching the vehicles were school bags,numerous mobile phones,clothes,shoes,food and Voters ID cards which bears names suspected to be voltarian and empty wallet.
Meanwhile,the angry residents decided to set ablaze the vehicle but it took the intervention of the police who controlled the situation.
The case has been reported to the Ajumako hospital for investigation.
Meanwhile,no arrest has been made so far.
