Deputy Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing, Kwabena Mintah-Akandoh has backed calls for the Ebola trial vaccine to be suspended at Hohoe in the Volta region.

“Any rational being by the mere mention of Ebola will not dare. This topic is an unpopular one.”

The trial he argued are not being conducted on guinea pigs alone as claimed, but humans as well, insisting the inadequate proof of the safety of individuals makes it contentious.

He told Kwaku Owusu Agyei Frimpong on Si Me So on Kasapa 102.3 FM, researchers needed to find solutions to the Ebola epidemic, but the entire process happened on the blind side of Ghanaians.

He said the move ‘missed the right steps’ which ought to have been followed..
