NPP flabearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has congratulated Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah for winning the Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency Primaries of the NPP.

In a tweet Saturday, Akufo-Addo said “Congratulations @konkrumah! Welcome on board.”

Oppong-Nkrumah won the Ofoase Ayirebi Constituency elections of the NPP with some 219 votes.

His two other contenders John Obiri Yeboah and Bright Asamoah Acquah had 145 and 45 votes respectively.

A huge win for the NPP, Oppong-Nkrumah is seen as one of several persons whose personality can give the NPP a solid footing ahead of the 2016 elections.

Campaign Manager for Kojo Oppong Nkruma told Kasapa FM the result is a true reflection of the choice of the delegates.

“We don’t vote on radio; we vote with delegates. We had a message… they bought into our campaign.”
