The Greater Accra Regional Police Commander COP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has expressed his commitment to ensure that Accra remains peaceful before, during and after the upcoming November general elections.
The Commander has further urged the various political parties to give the police maximum cooperation to ensure incident free polls.
COP Dr George Akuffo Dampare made the pledge when he toured the regional offices of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to fraternize with them and also see how best both parties will be able to maintain tranquility in the period leading and after the elections.
He and his lieutenants started their tour from NPP Regional office and later went to NDC Regional office where he was met by both the NDC Regional Chairman, Ade Coker and NPP Regional Chairman, Mr. Ishmael Ashiettey who expressed their excitement over the visit.
COP Dr Dampare promised to visit all the political parties with offices in the region.
