Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, would on Thursday, February 4, 2016, open up on the life and times of his uncle, Dr. J. B. Danquah to the public.

The event which will take off at the Presbyterian Church Hall, Osu at 5:00pm will see the former Attorney-General launch a book about the Ghanaian Nationalist and freedom fighter.

The 72-page document has been authored by Abyna-Ansaa Adjei.

The book, the 10th by the author, tells the story of Dr. Danquah’s life from his childhood, his years of academic excellence as a student in the United Kingdom through his political career as a freedom fighter and politician until his death in prison on February 4, 1965.

It also details the contributions J. B. Danquah made to virtually all areas of national life, including, his role in naming Ghana and his leading campaign for the setting up of the University of Ghana, Legon.

The launch would be chaired by Mr. Keli Gadzekpo, Group Managing Director of Enterprise Group Limited, a statement released by the Presidential Candidate’s office has revealed.

Renowned political science Professor of the University of Ghana, Kumi Ansah-Koi, would review the book.
