Edward Ennin who lost his bid to once again become the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament candidate for the Obuasi East constituency says a pre-election agenda by his opponents to sell him as worn out worked, and led to his defeat.

“I think people were getting worried with my long term as MP, and the fact that they wanted a new face to represent them against 2016 elections.”

Ennin adds that despite the defeat he’s going to rally behind the chosen candidate.

He told Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM he has put the defeat behind him, and would work towards a victory for the Party in 2016.
