The one week memorial celebration of the death of the late Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, JB Danquah Adu is set to be held today, February 16.
The event will come off at his family house in Tafo, Akim Abuakwa North in the Eastern Region.
Meanwhile, sister of the slain legislator, Abena Acheampomaa has told Kasapa News that since many sympathizers may not be able to attend his one week celebration at Abuakwa North, another one will be held at the deceased MP’s Shiashie residence in Accra for such persons to express their condolences.
She added that a date for the final funeral rites and burial will be set after today’s event where a consensus is expected to be reached.
The late MP was gruesomely murdered at dawn on Tuesday February 9 at his home at Shiashie in Accra.
Police investigations showed he suffered two stab wounds, one to his rib, the other to his abdomen.
The police have subsequently arrested a suspect in connection with the death who is currently being interrogated to find out the motive of his action.
