Prices of petroleum products are up by some 4 percent., officials say.
The increase of 4 percent is the maximum the Oil Marketing Companies are allowed to charge, and is made possible by the rising prices of petroleum products and depreciation of the Ghanaian cedi.
The decision comes hours after government announced it had taken its hands of pricing, making it the sole responsibility of the OMCs.
It remains to be seen if transport operators will also adjust their fares.
