Staff of the Accra Psychiatric Hospital want the Controller and Accountant General Department (CAGD) to act swiftly and pay their salaries for the month of February because they have no alternative means to survive.
Workers of the health facility did not receive their salary for the month February, with the CAGD promising to make amends by end of March.
No reason has been assigned for the non payment.
Management of the health facility say all attempts to get the CAGD to pay the staff have not yielded any result.
They therefore, want the CAGD to immediately rectify the anomaly if any and pay the staff on or before March 9, 2016.
They also want the Health Minister to intervene as soon as possible since they have no alternative means to survive.
Besides, the residences of staff are to far from the health facility and non payment will make it very difficult for them to get to work.
