The Ministry of Education says it has referred the issue of leakage of some papers of the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Exams to the security agencies to immediately conduct investigations.

Mr Alex Kyeremeh, the Deputy Minister of Education in Charge of Pre-Tertiary Education, said the investigations will help the Ministry to quickly identify all the gaps and deal with it appropriately.

He told reporters the Ministry is surprised at the development, and has sought to get answers through its legal heads.

“The laws are there clear and unambiguous. It will therefore take its own course.”

“WAEC should come out and tell us what happened. We hope they will come out with answers”
