A governance model of ‘domestication’ practiced by former president Kwame Nkrumah is being replicated by President Mahama, Dr. Henry Lartey, Leader of the Great Consolidated People’s Party (GCPP) claims.

He observed that ‘Domestication’ which was subsequently pursued by his late father and founder of the GCPP, Dan Lartey, has since morphed into a buy-Made-in-Ghana campaign.

Speaking to Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM, Dr Lartey said that even though his father communicated the idea in a comical way, and was largely not taken serious, it’s a policy that can turn Ghana’s economic fortunes around.

He urged government to broaden the discussion on patronizing Made- in-Ghana products, to encourage local exporters.
