An Accra High Court presided over by Justice Kwaku Ackah Boafo has dismissed Dr Zanetor Rawlings motion to struck out an injunction against her.

Dr. Zanetor Rawlings’ Lawyers filed an application seeking a dismissal of the case brought against their client contesting her eligibility as the National Democratic Congress (NDC’s) elected Parliamentary Candidate for the Klottey-Korle Constituency.

In a motion filed at the High Court, Dr. Zanetor’s counsel argued lack of due to the constitutional interpretation being sought, suggesting the Supreme Court as appropriate in the jurisdiction over the matter interpretation of such matters.

They further argued that the entire action brought before the court is premature. A similar motion brought by Zanetor was thrown out.

But Justice Kwaku Ackah Boafo in his ruling describing it as a good poem that makes a bad read.

Nii Armah Ashietey is pursuing a case in court involving the eligibility of Dr. Zanetor as the parliamentary candidate for the Constituency.

He’s praying the court to stop Zanetor from holding herself out as the NDC candidate for the Klottey Korle constituency, insisting that her election was unlawful because she is not a registered voter.
