The Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Party (NDC), Allotey Jacobs has vowed to protect the likes of Rachael Apoh, and Georgina Aboah in the upcoming NDC parliamentary primaries in the region.

All  Members of Parliament In the region, Jacobs says they are fine politicians with prospect which is crucial to the Party’s chances hence a good reason why they shouldn’t be contested.

“We won’t allow any tom, dick, and harry to contest such MPs, whatever it will take me to protect them I will do, he told Kwaku Owusu Agyei on Si Me So on Kasapa 102.3 FM.

“…We will skew things to favour first time MPs; politics is a game which you don’t necessarily have to play by the rules.

“There are big players in every constituency, and we’re going to use them to appeal to the delegates”

A strategy Jacobs’ political opponents in the NPP failed to implement, it remains to be seen if it will become Party policy.
