A court in Accra has sentenced to fifty years imprisonment the two armed young men who attempted robbery at the Westhills Mall in Accra on May 24.

Presiding Judge Francis Obiri sentenced Stephen Ayomba, 20, and Sulley Jali, 24, to twenty-five years each.

An exercise that wasn’t even fruitful, the two had attempted to rob the Silverbird Cinema wing of the facility but were apprehended by the Police. It was after they had fired shots indiscriminately.

A foreign made pistol, an empty shell and pair of scissors were subsequently retrieved from the two.
