Lawyer Kisi Adjarbeng, Counsel for Dubai-based Ghanaian footballer, Asamoah Gyan, who is being accused of impregnating a 22-year-old lady, says the motive behind the accusation sounds more sinister, and an attempt to extort monies from his client.
Sarah Kwabla, the lady at the centre of the controversy is seeking some 1,000 dollars every month as care for her pregnancy.
The amount Adjarbeng says is irrational and simply one of her numerous ways of getting money off Gyan.
He told Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM Wednesday:
“I arranged to give an initial amount of GHS 2,000 to her as maintenance every month, and it was even done on humanitarian reasons.
“How much does it cost for an antenatal in Ghana….you can’t keep on making such demands.
“We even booked her for a DNA test, and she never appeared to do it, on the appointment day.”
Kwabla claims she had sex with the Dubai-based player who paid her visits on more than one occasion.
She has threatened to release videos of their sexual encounter.
