Four persons have reportedly died in a fire outbreak in Worakese a community at Asante Mampong in the Ashanti region.
It is unclear what caused the fire Friday dawn which claimed the lives of a man who’s said to be a pastor, his wife and brother and his four children who were asleep at the time of the incident.
According to some eyewitnesses, several attempts by volunteers to rescue the trapped family was unsuccessful as the building was locked.
The bodies have since been deposited at the Asante Mampong government hospital.
Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service who were at the scene to douse the fire could not save the lives of the trapped family as help delayed in coming.
