Students of AME Zion Junior High School in Kasoa in the Central Region had their fair share of the effects of Thursday’s downpour as their classrooms were flooded.

The students are made to go through an unpleasant and difficult task of having to scoop water from their classrooms whenever it rains.

The worrying situation affects teaching and learning in the school as the students spend several hours in draining the water.

Speaking to Kasapa FM’s Benjamin Amuzu, the students who were displeased about the development urged the government to immediately come to their aid in order to ensure they have serious academic work while at school.

“We experience flooding whenever there are heavy rains, by the time we finish scooping out the water we would have missed some of our lessons, we can’t continue to go this way. This situation is becoming one too many, the authorities must help us,” a student said.Class 1Class 2Class 3Class 5
