The Ministry of Water Resources, Works & Housing has assured residents of Nsawam/Adoagyiri constituency in the Eastern Region of continues water supply to meet their daily needs.

This follows some pragmatic measures that have been put in place to prevent the recurring of water crisis in that part of the country.

The measures which include dredging the Nsawam treatment plant to increase raw water storage and the drilling of boreholes will ensure constant potable water supply to the community, deputy Minister for Water Resources, Works & Housing, Sampson Ahi has noted.

Ahi made the observation on the floor of Parliament, Thursday, when answering to a question asked the MP for Nsawam/Adoagyiri, Frank Annor Dompreh.

Dompreh had asked the Minister what measures are being put in place to prevent future occurrence of water crisis in Nsawam and its environs.

Ahi speaking further on the issue told the House that his outfit has joined hands with the local authority of the area and the security agencies to provide security along the river banks to prevent people from “throwing waste into the river and also farming along the river body”.
