A funeral service for Maxwell Avoka, the 23-year-old late son of politician Cletus Avoka, is being held at the Christ the King Parish in Accra.
The event is being attended by some family members, friends and former school colleagues as well as state officials.
His final funeral rites will be held in Zebilla in the Upper East Region tomorrow.
Avoka died mid June after failing to survive an intense military exercise known as“donning” at the Ghana Military Academy in Teshie. He was said to have bled from his nose.
‘Donning’ is a special induction exercise for first time army trainees.
Maxwell graduated from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. At the Mfantsipim Senior High School, he was Dinning Hall Prefect.
