A German man has been arrested after an 82-year-old woman and a cyclist were shot dead near the town of Ansbach, police have said.
Police said the suspect also shot at two other people from his car. They are both reported to be unharmed.
The incident sparked a massive manhunt in southern Bavaria region after the gunman fled.
The killer was detained at a service station. His identity has not been released.
Both of his victims, apparently targeted at random, died at the scene.
