The National Labour Commission(NLC) has ordered striking nurses of the Accra Psychiatric hospital to call of their strike and resume work immediately.

The directive follows a meeting the commission had yesterday with the Minister of Health, representatives of the nurses and authorities of the hospital.

According the Executive Secretary of the NLC, Charles Adongo Bawa Duah, the nurses breached the labour laws as it failed to notify it before embarking on the strike action.

The nurses have been on strike demanding improved working conditions.

The NLC has also ordered the ministry of Health to provide the needed logistics, drugs, and relevant tools to the facilities so that nurses can practice without endangering their lives.
