Meet Kasapa fm’s news caster who’s making waves on the air waves with his ‘Bono’ accent and hilarious news delivery technique which has made him a hot commodity on the media market.
With his manly physique and stature, one could easily mistake him for a bully but he is indeed a gentle giant who has a really soft spot for the ladies.
Awuah Baffour Williams is a native of Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region and has lived there almost all his life. He only relocated to Accra after Adom TV’s Nana Yaa Brefo recommended him to EIB Network and since then, he has been with Kasapa Fm.
Prior to the recommendation, he worked with Yankee Fm in Sampa, Brong Ahafo Region for eight years as a Morning show host/News Caster and also served as a reporter for Multimedia Group for seven (7) years.‘Baffour Gyan’ as he is fondly addressed by some colleagues had his early education at Ridge Experimental Primary and Junior High School where he successfully passed his Basic Education Examinations and gained admission to St. James Seminary/Secondary School both in Sunyani, Brong Ahafo Region. He later went beyond the Brong Ahafo borders to the Central Region of Ghana where he had his first degree in Basic Education from the University of Winneba.
He hosted the first biggest Ghana Kasa (a political show on Kasapa fm) with Akua Sonto which brought together the likes of Dr. Zanetor Rawlings, lawyer Philip Addison, Nii Noi Nortey amongst others and shook the media industry with his tremendous performance
“I am grateful to my parents; Nana Awuah and Nana Efia Boatemaa for taking their time to nurture me and for taking me through school, I owe them my success and also to Nana Yaa Brefo for her constant support and mentorship. I could not have asked for more; God has indeed been good to me.”
With an attitude of a Leopard, Baffour the Predator loves to observe from afar before pouncing on his prey and that describes his impeccable attitude of performance in the world of broadcast journalism.
