A warehouse belonging to a Chinese/Lebanese company, sited at Adabraka, close to AUCC campus has developed huge cracks and on the verge of collapsing, raising public safety issues within the neighbourhood.

Residents, according to Kasapafmonline.com checks are living in fear as several complaints have been made to city authorities, but to no avail.

Currently the road to the warehouse has been blocked by the police.

The rate of shoddy engineering works on high rise buildings is scaling up within the capital,  as the system has failed to bring the buildings up to current code.

Accra has seen a high incidence of buildings collapsing due mainly to structural defects, which lead to loss of lives and injuries.

Government undertook a dramatic overhaul of strengthening engineering regulations after the collapse of the five-storey Melcom Shopping Centre at Achimota in November 2012, but there is still lack of enforcement of building standards and codes.
