Fire has razed down hundreds of structures while one person is feared dead in Tuesday’s inferno at the Abuja Slum in the Central Business District of Accra.
Kasapafmonline.com‘s Stephen Odoi-Larbi witnessed several structures razed down completely by an inferno that spread wildly to adjoining spots in minutes.
Settlers at the slum he says fear a colleague of theirs may have lost her child in the process.
Odoi-Larbi reports that the lady, whose name has only been given as Zalia, locked up her child in the room, to go get herself some items from a nearby shop. She learnt of the outbreak on her way back.
