Reports reaching Kasapafmonline.com indicate that some biometric verification devices (BVDs) being used in the conduct of Wednesday’s presidential and parliamentary elections have broken down.

Kasapa FM’s Upper West correspondent, Kennedy Mornah, reports that in some of the polling stations the biometric verification devices were not functioning, triggering the suspension of the voting exercise for some few minutes.

But the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has come out to debunk such claim.

In a tweet, the electoral management body said reports of multiple BVDs failure in Nadowli/Kaleo constituency are false.

According to the Commission, it has always provided back up machine to address any eventuality.
