Founder and leader of the All People’s Congress (APC), Hassan Ayariga has alleged that the opposition New Patriotic Party is responsible for Electoral Commission inability to transmit the results electronically via internet.

He claims the NPP compromised the results being transmitted to the National Collation Centre to favour them, for which reason they claim to be in the lead in the presidential polls.

“The NPP hacked into EC’s website to change figures in their favour that is why they are claiming to be winners which is a blatant lie,” Hassan added.

Speaking with Nana Aba Anamoah on GHOne TV, Ayariga criticized the media for projecting wrong presidential results in favour of the NPP’s Flagbearer, but he believes President Mahama has taken the lead.

When schooled by the hostess on what the Electoral Commission’s chairperson said, that there was an attempted hack, he answered “There’s everything possible so if there’s an attempted hack it amount to jail because an attempted murder is a murder.”

He continued “what I want in this country is a peaceful election that is why I’m asking the media to restrain from giving results of the presidential elections because this elections are very crucial.”

When asked if he’s scared President Mahama could lose the elections, he said “I’m not scared of anything… I was going to contest him but I later withdrew to support him. For me apart from the presidency, there’s no other positions that I will occupy in this country, I don’t need it… Is either the president or I’ill do my philanthropic work.”
