President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo has requested that the Transition team should present him with an interim report on the state of the country before his official inauguration as President on January 7, 2017.
The transition team has said it is working earnestly to get the report by January 5, two days before the investiture of President-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo.
Spokesperson for the Transition team, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah said the team has so far received hand over notes from all outgoing Ministers.
Meanwhile, he said work is pacing up smoothly towards a successful inauguration on January 7.
“On the planning for the inauguration ceremony’s office is coming off very nicely. The inauguration Committee/sub-committee has done a pre-extensive work in terms of outlining what needs to be done to prepare the grounds, working with the Foreign Affairs Ministry to determine which Foreign dignitaries we are to expect on the day, and also most importantly providing a lot of space for the Ghanaians who cast his vote and who very much want to be a part of this inauguration exercise. Shortly we’ll give a full briefing on what to expect on the inauguration day.” he said.
The president-elect will be sworn in on January 7 after a one-month transition period.
