A former National Security Advisor and Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Brigadier General Joseph Nunoo-Mensah has expressed his readiness to serve in the Nana Akufo-Addo government, should he be considered for any position in the NPP administration.

Nunoo-Mensah who has already hailed the incoming leader of the country, Nana Akufo-Addo as one to make an impressive mark in the Presidency said irrespective of his [Nunoo-Mensah] old age, he’s still energetic to take up any role he’ll be offered by Akufo-Addo.

“I’m old and a retired ex-serviceman but I have a lot of ideas to offer this country. I have the conviction that until I drop dead, I will serve my country. If the country burns I’ll also be affected, hence so long as I have life I will serve my country,” he told host Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM.

Meanwhile, the maverick statesman has urged the Akufo-Addo-led government to strive to revive Ghana’s declining agricultural sector and put in place policies and programmes to raise agriculture to a higher standard.

“I’m passionate about this sector because I believe we won’t be able to survive famine if we don’t prioritize agric now” he added.

Brig Gen Nunoo-Mensah said he has faith in Nana Addo, that he would deliver.
