Late President John Evans AttA Mills died a natural death, his brother Dr. Cadman Mills has insisted.
According to him, though he understands why people continue to ask for the late President’s cause of death due to the sudden nature of it, the time has come for finality to be put to this lingering issue.
Late President Mills died shockingly on 24th July 2012 three days after his sixty eighth (68th) birthday, a development that sparked speculation over a possible foul play.
Conspiracy theories started flying all over the media and in other circles with some people alleging that someone might have killed him after he collapsed at the Castle. There was further allegation that he was put in a car booth while being conveyed to the 37 Military Hospital for intensive care.
Speaking to Fifi Banson on Kasapa 102.3 FM’s Anopa Kasapa show Tuesday 21st July, which would have marked his 71st birthday, Dr. Cadman Mills dismissed the allegations describing them as totally unfounded.
“When he died we insisted that an autopsy be carried, it was done and the report indicated the cause of death, it was a natural death, no one killed him. It was not also cancer of the throat, I can guarantee that. The family put out what the cause of his death was, yes it was sudden, he collapsed and all that…. but there was never a foul play”.
“ I know even as I continue to talk about this issue now, people will go on speculating until thy kingdom come, but all the allegations about his cause of death and the way he was handled on his way to the hospital are all false, I think we should put this matter to rest now”
