The family of Former Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North constituency, JB Danquah Adu has lamented what they described as serious delay in handing down judgment to the accused persons held in the murder of the late MP.
Judgment in the case, according to the family has traversed beyond reasonable time. A one year anniversary poster in circulation sighted by this website also has the inscription”Justice delayed is Justice denied” depicting the extent of worry in relation to the legal remedy being sought by the family in the unfortunate case.
Also a group calling itself Abuakwa North Youth for Justice, has also called on president Akufo-Addo to help bring the person (s) involved in the murder case to book.
Spokesperson for the group,Nana Sei, told Kasapa 102.5 FM “we are not doubting the intelligence of the court, We have confidence in the law, but it looks as if stories emanating from the proceedings are not satisfying enough”
Meanwhile the family of late Abuakwa North MP, JB Danquah-Adu will today Thursday, 9 February 2017, hold a special service to commemorate a year’s anniversary of the former MP who was murdered in 2016.
Family sources say the event will come of at the Ridge Church, Accra at 8am.
The family Thursday called on well-wishers to join the family mark a year of the passing of their departed relative.
The MP died in his room at Shiashie in Accra from stab wounds allegedly inflicted by 19-year-old Daniel Asiedu, who is in police grips together with an alleged accomplice.
