A lecturer at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Ho, Kwaku Ametepe, has committed suicide. He left behind a note.
The unfortunate incident happened at his Ho Voradep Village residence, locals say.
Ametepe was found hanging with a rope in his room Tuesday. Neighbours say a repugnant smell from his room piqued their curiosity.
They later invited the Police, who came in to establish cause; the body was subsequently sent to the Volta Regional Hospital.
Ametepe, whose wife and children live in the UK, worked with the British Army and only came down a few years ago to pick up the UHAS job.
