Management of Pentecost University College on Wednesday 5th April payed a courtesy call on the Honourable Shirley Ayorkor Botwe, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Member of Parliment for Anyaa – Sowutuom constituency at her office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The delegation led by the Rector Apostle Dr. Daniel Okyere Walker included Prof. K. B. Omane-Antwi (Vice Rector), Mr. Foster Kobina Amoani (Registrar), Mr. Michael W. K. Gyimah (Librarian), Rev. Paul Danso (Dean of Students) and Mr. Evans Akesse-Brempong (Ag. Public Affairs Manager).

The Rector on behalf of Management congratulated the Honourable Minister on her new appointment and wished her well in her new office. In Her response, Hon. Shirley Ayokor Botwe expressed gratitude to the Church of Pentecost, Management of Pentecost University, Students and the University community for their unwavering support since she began her political journey.

“PUC is the only tertiary Institution within my constituency and so that has endeared the University to my heart. We will do everything within our power to help the University so the community can also benefit from it” the Honourable Minister remarked. Several developmental projects were discussed which will be beneficial to PUC and the Sowutuom community.

On how she finds her new role, the Minister admitted that it was quite a daunting one but was also quick to add that she was poise for the challenge. Quoting her favourite scripture in Phillipians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” the Minister was optimistic that the ministry under her leadership will be able to meet the expectations Ghanaians especially those living in the diaspora.

The delegation took the opportunity to say a word of prayer for the Honourable Minister, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the country Ghana.
