The almost dreamlike encounter between the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and the Okyenhene has manifested as the two powerful leaders have met in a historic courtesy paid by the latter in Manhyia palace.

The gesture is expected to explore the level of silent cordiality that had existed amongst the two chiefs and their subjects.

In a post by the Manhyia Palace moments ago on Facebook said the two traditional leaders are billed for Head of state Invitational Golf Tournament where the two will Tee off as part of the opening ceremony for the event.

The visit comes few weeks after the Asantehene vented publicly over attempts by some individuals close to President Akufo-Addo to create enmity between him and the Akyem people.

The anger of the Monarch triggered a presidential visit to his palace in a matter of days.

There has been some sort of long standing aggression not on their part per se but the people they represent.

But it is expected that the gesture today will be a mechanism of healing one of the oldest open chieftaincy sores in history in the Akan ethnic setup.
