A man believed to be in his early 40s is reported to have murdered his wife at Ablekuma Block Factory in Accra after suspecting her of infidelity.
The unfortunate incident which occurred on Thursday morning has thrown residents into a state of shock as they wonder what might have caused the otherwise calm and harmless suspect to have committed such heinous crime.
The couple is reported to have been constantly fighting because of the deceased supposed affair with another man.
According to the Landlord, Banabas Abban, a co-tenant who noticed blood stains at the door of the deceased called and informed him about the incident.
He added that he then broke into the room of the deceased only to find her in a pool of blood with her throat severed with a machete, following which he called for a taxi to convey her to the hospital while he rushed to the Anyaa Police Station to report the incident.
Banabas Abban further said he later had a call that the lady had died.
CID officers who proceeded to the house of the deceased found the husband hiding himself in the bathroom, following which he was arrested and put into police custody.
The body of the woman has been conveyed to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital morgue.
