A fourteen year old JHS 3 student at the West Ridge Junior High School in Sekondi in the Western Region, Salim Ahmed Salim, has been stabbed to death in school.

Reports say the deceased was revising his mathematics lessons on Thursday but was being distracted by the suspect, Othniel Pobee following which the deceased expressed his displeasure over his actions.

The suspect who is now in the grips of the Sekondi Police Command out of anger is said to have stabbed Salim Ahmed Salim multiple times in the rib and stomach leading to him bleeding profusely.

He was then rushed to the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital by the Headmaster of the school together with some teachers before alerting the parents, he however passed on.

Sekondi -Takoradi Metropolitan Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Education Service, Mrs Kate Andoh Biney revealed to Empire News’ Emmanmuel Ohene -Gyan that police personnel have been stationed at the school premises to prevent any disturbances.

The Police have since commenced investigations into the murder.
