MP for Effutu, Alexander Afenyo Markin

Alexander Afenyo Markin has retained the Effutu Constituency seat in the December 7 Parliamentary election.

He polled 33,554 whereas his closest contender James Kofi Annan polled 18,802, votes with the other candidate Umar Mohammed Murtala securing 101 votes.

Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament Asuogyaman, Thomas Ampem Nyarko has also retained the seat.

He polled 23, 201 votes as against 24,437 votes secured by his closest contender, Paul Ansah, the former Director-General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority.
