Founder of the All Peoples Congress (APC) Hassan Ayariga has vowed to carry out his threat of sending homeless Ghanaians to stay at the abandoned Saglemi Housing Project for free, despite the sector Minister urging Ghanaians not to fall for the populist appeal.

The abandoned facility has been brought to the spotlight and to the chagrin of Ghanaians following the filming of the neglected near-completed homes by politician Hassan Ayariga.

Hon. Asenso Boakye at a press conference on Tuesday urged Ghanaians to ignore the call for forced occupation of the facility by Mr Ayariga.

“The Ministry will ask the general public not to be wooed by the populist appeal by the producers of the video in question to indulge in recklessness in the name of forced occupation (of an incomplete development) since, in the absence of the primary infrastructure, it has consequences for their own health and safety”.

But Mr Ayariga responding to Hon. Asenso Boakye in an interview with Starr FM stated that nothing will stop him from carrying out his threat if nothing is done after the ultimatum expires.

“…You don’t run covering yourself and making childish statements, I find it very childish to hear from the Minister and I’m not responding to the Minister because he does not deserve my response. He’s too small for me to respond to him, I’m only responding to Starr FM and the people of Ghana. If he thinks I’m joking and he’s that powerful and he thinks it’s a diabolic agenda he should wait and let’s see after the 30 days and if they don’t do anything they will see whether it’s a diabolic attempt or Ghanaians will not go and occupy.

Ayariga added: “I’m standing by my 30-day ultimatum and he’ll see how many people will move to that place. Military and police will all move to there, he should bring his own military.
