Ghana today earned a Round of 16 place at the ongoing FIFA under 20 World Cup in New Zealand with a 1-0 win against Panama.
An 82nd minute goal from Emmanuel Boateng was enough to advance a campaign that has been fairly impressive. Panama would fight back with a 90th minute penalty – but failed to hit it home.
Ghana now tops Group B with some 7 points. Argentina and Austria drew 0-0 in the other Group B game.
Coach Sellas Tetteh is chasing a second World Cup after winning it in Egypt six years ago.
Ghana Starting Eleven
