Young Apostles have secured qualification into the Ghana Premier League after beating Techiman Heroes via the lotteries of penalties after the game ended in a 1:1 draw at the  Accra Sports Stadium.

Young Apostles scored in the 9th minute via a thunderbolt of a shot from outside the box to give the Wenchi-based team an early lead.

Mohammed Adama equalised for Techiman Heroes in the 36th minute after he pounced on a rebound and slid the ball coolly pass goalkeeper Benjamin Twum.

The second half turned out to be interesting and end-to-end, with both goalkeepers making brilliant saves to keep the game at 1:1 and send it into extra time and penalties.

Captain Sulemana Yahaya sent the hundreds of fans who had travelled from Wenchi into a frenzy when he expertly converted his penalty kick after Techiman Heroes missed their opportunity to score the 5th penalty.

The penalties ended 4:3 in favour of the “Agya Na Owor Tumi” boys who join Vision FC and Basake Holy Stars as new entrants into the Ghana Premier League.
