NPP Member of Parliament for Kwabre East, Kofi Frempong, has said despite losing last Saturday’s parliamentary polls he remains optimistic of a buoyant return.

“The downfall of a man is not the end of his life. So, yes, I have fallen but that doesn’t mean that I am out,” he said in an interview with Kasapafmonline.com.

He added “you don’t go into this kind of politics and quit. So, I am lacing my boots for the next four years. I am not going to leave any stone unturned. I will bounce back to fight.”

He attributed his defeat to a lack of a better strategy in a poll that saw him fall to a 22-year-old second year law student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Francisca Oteng-Mensah.

“I will campaign very hard with all my resources for Nana Addo to win power,” he told us.

Mr. Frimpong last Saturday polled 187 votes of the total valid votes cast while his main competitors, Lawyer Osei-Poku and 22-year-old Francisca Oteng-Mensah polled 202 and 321 votes respectively.
