The purported tape that captures radio host Blakk Rasta claiming 80 percent of parliamentarians in Ghana smoke weed, has been played in the August House.
It was aired during a special sitting of the Privileges Committee. The tape lasts some few minutes.
The controversial radio host is reported to have said that about 80 percent of Members of Parliament (MP) smoke marijuana popularly known locally as ‘wee’ and therefore, does not see the reason why its usage has not been legalized in the country.
“There are about 80% of parliamentarians who smoke weed so why do people think those who smoke marijuana go mad.”
His comments irked the parliamentarians who pushed for him to be dragged before the Privileges Committee of the House, the hearing of which is currently taking place.
