The Minister of Transport, Dzifa Attivor has charged the new Board for the Metro Mass Transit (MMT) to remain focused and put in place effective systems in making sure it gives a new direction to the local transport operator.
The Minister was speaking at the inauguration of the newly reconstituted Board formed to see to the running of the MMT.
The old board was dissolved by President John Mahama on January 15, 2015 following a demonstration by workers of the company against the former Board Chair and Deputy Managing Director.
The absence of a board impacted negatively on the company’s procurement processes.
