Two opposition Parties the Convention People’s Party (CPP) and the People’s National Convention (PNC) have launched a joint campaign that is aimed at annexing the parliamentary seat for the PNC in the July 7 by-election in the Talensi constituency.

The launch took place at Yameriga, hometown of the PNC’s candidate, Dr. Michael Wombeogo Namalteng.

Namalteng is contesting the seat for the third time.

The confirmation of the joint bid came from Samia Nkrumah of the CPP, who had prior to this weekend indicated the preparedness of the two Nrukmahists to merge ahead of the 2016 elections.
