The opposition New Patriotic Party(NPP) wants the ruling government to concede defeat as voting trends they claim they have project them ahead in the contest.

Ghana’s  main opposition say 80% of the pink sheets available to them put them in a commanding lead.

About 23, 325 polling stations representing 80% they add, is giving them an edge over their main rival in the crucial polls.

The 2016 Campaign Manager of the party, Peter Mac Manu told a Press conference at the party’s headquaters that per a parallel collation conducted by its officials, the party’s candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo has clocked a figure of  4, 676, 998  representing 54.91 percent, while its opponent, incumbent John Dramani Mahama is trailing with some 3, 694, 724  representing 43.38 percent.

Meanwhile, the ruling party had earlier called on its supporters to remain calm, as counting of ballots is still underway.
