The Cape Coast South constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)is accusing Central Regional Minister, Kweku Ricketts Hagan of depleting the newly constructed Coast South Children’s library of its ultra modern furniture.

The minister who is also the Member of Parliament-elect for the area is being accused of bad faith by the NPP as according to them the Minister took that decision in reaction to the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) poor performance in that area during the just ended general elections in the area.

Speaking at a press conference in Cape Coast, the Communication Director for the Cape Coast Constituency Mr. Anaisie Yarquah indicated that the MPs decision earlier to halt his free transportation system for school children in the area after the elections, is ample evidence that the minister is peeved with the people in the constituency hence taking those negative steps including the change of the furniture in the library with ordinary wooden chairs just to spite the people.

He therefore called on Hon. Rickett Hagan to return the ultra modern furniture to the library as the furniture was part of the contract signed for the construction of the library under the leadership of former MP of the area Christine Churcher in 2006.
